Most people already know the Guinness Book of World Records as a household name. Since 1955, Guinness World Records has published information about record-breaking achievements for anyone who needs to settle a bet about how tall the world's tallest man is. Twin Galaxies has chased a similar goal since 1981, though they specialize in video games. For decades, Twin Galaxies has been a leading force in video game score adjudication and record keeping. Now, both companies are joining forces to expand their abilities to record and recognize video game records the world over.
Beginning on January 2, players can submit their record-breaking attempts to either Guinness World Records or Twin Galaxies, knowing that it will end up in the appropriate place. The two companies will work together to increase the availability of live record attempts, formal record recognition and official stats and player data.
