A free title update has started rolling out among console versions of Terraria, adding a bit of holiday cheer to anyone playing the sandbox game this season.
Baldur's Gate II Coming To iOS And Android
The Terraria holiday patch is available now on Xbox One and Xbox 360, and it will hit all three PlayStation systems – PS4, PS3 and Vita – on Monday, December 15. The update adds three new festive features and more than 20 items. When you next decide to hop into a game, you'll be able to find holiday-inspired tools, weapons and consumables.
With the patch, enemies will also start dropping presents, and you might even catch a glimpse of Santa himself, if you're lucky. The festive update will last until the end of the year, so enjoy it while you can.
Xbox One Wins Console Sales War For November
Terraria is also rolling out a few permanent changes to the console games while the development team is at it. Xbox One players will be happy to know that they're now able to zoom in and out of maps, making it easier than ever to make some detailed changes then immediately move to surveying your entire world.
PlayStation 4 owners are getting a little bonus in the update, too, in the form of added cross-play compatibility with PS3 and Vita.
Terraria is now available on a whole bunch of platforms, including PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, PS Vita and four flavors of mobile phone. The indie title made its next-gen debut last month.
