For Christmas this year the Science Channel is giving viewers the gift of knowledge with a 10-Day mega-marathon of Mythbusters, the television show that has separated truth from myth for 13 seasons.
Eaten Alive Fails to Actually Feature Anyone Eaten Alive
Entertainment Weekly reports the marathon isn't including all 13 seasons of the hit show, so it won't run for quite as long as it could have, but still, 10 days of nothing but myth busting goodness is pretty impressive. There will be 220 episodes aired in all starting on December 24, 2014 and ending on January 2, 2015. You could end the old year and start the new in the exact same way.
Mythbusters began airing in 2003 on the Discovery Channel. The premise of the show is simple. Take common myth, test it to see if it holds water. At the end of the testing phase, myths were determined busted if they simply were not true, plausible if the tests weren't conclusive either way, and confirmed if they turn out to be totally true.

The show is hosted by Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman who use a variety of tests to confirm or deny various myths. No matter what the myths were they were testing, one thing was always certain: At some point, something was getting blown up, whether it had to do with the myth or not.
The mega-marathon will start on December 24 at 6 a.m. with 220 episodes airing back to back for the full ten days. Fans of the show are likely to catch old favorites strewn throughout the long myth busting days. Check out the Mythbusters on Star Wars below.
