After the successful launch of The Banner Saga onto iOS devices, indie developer Stoic is bringing the Nordic turn-based strategy epic to Android devices.

The Banner Saga launched earlier this year to critical acclaim and a failed attempt at removing the name 'Saga' from a certain crusher of candy. Given that Saga is more apropos of mythic Vikings traveling through a bleak and frozen world, an agreement was reached out of court.
Since its release in January, the game has received several awards and nominations, including winner of the 2014 Geekie Awards for "Best Video Game", finalist for "Excellence in Visual Arts" and two honourable mentions for "Excellence in Design" and "Excellence in Audio" at the 2014 Independent Game Festival. The iOS version was released last month and a PS4 version is in the works.

We love the Banner Saga on iOS. It suffers a little from being so small (the touch screen sensitivity is, well, sensitive) but being released on Android phones (which I am told are much larger) should alleviate that somewhat.
