A couple of different versions of Minecraft will start seeing some updates today. Minecraft Pocket Edition is finally seeing a rollout of the 0.10 update, and the PlayStation 4 edition is getting a small update in North America that European players saw last week.
A Patch Has Been Delayed For The New Master Chief Collection
Version 0.10 is the next major update for Minecraft Pocket Edition, and it can now be found on both iTunes and Google Play. Dubbed by the release notes as the "prettier, faster, less buggier" patch, 0.10 beefs up the mobile game's performance while cleaning up some of the graphics.
The 0.10 update also adds a little bit of content into the sandbox game. Mobile players will now enjoy more fences and fence gates, as well as gold mines in Mesa biomes. Also, in the update that likely receives the biggest thumbs up from the ASPCA, baby animals will no longer sink when they try to swim. So go ahead and chuck that calf into the water. He now knows what to do.
Microsoft's Purchase Of Mojang Is Now Final
Over on the PS4 version of the game, console developer 4J Studios announced that a small update will be sent out to the next-gen game that enables support for limited-time DLC. The update is only going out to North American players, though, as Europe received the update last week.

Minecraft is now available on most platforms at this point. The most recent release was for the PS Vita. Looking forward, the next platform to be inducted into the Minecraft family should be the Windows Phone, which has been confirmed to be getting support for the Pocket Edition.
