The expansion version of Battlefield named "Battlefield 3: Close Quarters" is all set for its release in June on all platforms - PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
In this new version, battlefield has been moved indoors to present relentless infantry action with unprecedented HD Destruction. Players will find new ways to play the game with more weapons and newer perspective.
Players can shoot everything from furniture to plaster, and they will experience and see the confusion of the battlefield as rubble and broken pieces pile up on the floor. The additions will enhance the feeling of players having a real combat with the enemies.
The game has been designed in such a way that the levels are managed tightly together so that players will have lots of opportunities for vertical game play. In this way, players will need to bring their A game if they want to stay alive in competitive game of war.
"The game's close-knit nature immediately makes you feel like Han Solo sprinting through the Death Star chasing a bunch of Storm Troopers while screaming at the top of your lungs," writes kotaku.com.
A game of players from 2 to 16 players, fans will get plunged into the frantic and relentless infantry combat with ability to check all corners as enemies can attack from any angle. Players will have to earn new weapons and bring them back to the base game and while completing new assignments, get equipped with unique dog tags to increase the players strength.
The developers of Battlefield 3, DICE, will hope that its new Close Quarters feature will quell the recent string of complaints from fans. One of them is the new fixes for the PlayStation 3. DICE's last update addressed a number of fixes but fans weren't so thrilled with the new changes. Despite the outrage, DICE comments that the number of players is still on the rise.
"People do not care and they do not know about the big picture, but we do. Because we don't care about single individuals, we care about everyone. We try to make sure that everyone has a great time and that the balance is overarching," said DICE's Patrick Bach.
"We can see that our player numbers are going up as we speak because of the patch. It's not going down even though people say I'm not playing because of the patch... I think if people went back to the old patch now after a couple of weeks they would see the big differences. But then again it's not that it's hassle free, so of course we are looking into any real issues that we need to fix," added Bach.
