Warner Bros. Interactive has announced that the "Batman: Arkham City Game of The Year Edition" will be coming out in North America on May 29 and in UK on September 7. The Harley Quinn's Revenge Pack is also set to be out on May 29 for PlayStation 3 and for Xbox 360 on May 30.
"It comes with all of the previous DLC - which focused on new challenge maps, alternate outfits and playable outfits - and also includes a download code for the Batman: Year One animated movie", reports Kotaku Australia.
Batman: Arkham City is one of the most critically and commercially successful titles of 2011. The game is a third-person action-adventure developed by Rocksteady Studios and is based on the DC Comics superhero Batman. It is the sequel "Batman: Arkham Asylum," which won best game of the year2009 at the BAFTA award. .
The latest Game of the Year edition comes with new gadgets such as the Cryptographic Sequencer V2 and Smoke Pellets, as well as new functionality for existing gadgets. Players can explore a wide range of Batman's abilities without adding extra weight to his Utility Belt.
"The DLC included on disc includes the Catwoman Pack, Nightwing Bundle Pack, Robin Bundle Pack, Challenge Map Pack and Arkham City Skins Pack. All told, Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition packages new gameplay content, seven maps, three playable characters, and 12 skins beyond the original retail release," according to Warner Bros Interactive.
Players can get ready to experience authentic Batman experience on every level with high-impact street brawls, nail-biting stealth, multifaceted forensic investigation, epic super-villain encounters and unexpected glimpses into Batman's torture.
The newest version of the game has a new storyline and according to a report by The Independent, "fans can explore new environments and face-off against Harley's all new gang of hired goons - the perfect fodder for Arkham City fans looking to dust off their utility belt one final time."
