According to the company's press release (thanks, Engadget), the operating system update will start rolling out this week in Poland, likely to make sure everything runs smoothly before they send the update out to larger markets. Notably, this rollout seems to be happening before Google's own Nexus line of Android devices gets the update, though there are unconfirmed rumors that Nexus owners will see the update sometime this week.
“LG is absolutely committed to giving our customers the best mobile experiences available, and bringing Android Lollipop to G3 owners as soon as possible is a top priority,” LG president and CEO Jong-seok Park said in a release. “The new features and improvements in Android 5.0 will bring a whole new user experience to the G3 and make it even better than it already is.”

The Lollipop upgrade was launched earlier this month, alongside Google's new Nexus 9 and Nexus 6 devices. The software upgrade allows Android devices to work together better than ever. With the Lollipop upgrade, Android phones will be able to enjoy more connectivity with Android tablets and the new line of Android Wear smartwatches, good news for those fans of the brand who have multiple Android devices. The update is also changing how Android devices handle notifications.
