Ubisofty has just revealed that Valiant Hearts: Dogs of War, a free interactive comic book set in Valiant Hearts universe, is now available to download on iOS. This is only available to owners of Valiant Hearts: The Great War, one of the more critically acclaimed titles of the year.

Dogs of War tells the backstory of Walt, the canine companion from the game. He's the main character here and his sister Cassie is also present, although the events of The Great War send them down different paths.
"In this tale of heroism, both dogs are thrown into the maze of trenches across the Western Front, and will have to navigate their own way towards survival amidst the horror of the war. Walt and Cassie won’t share a common fate: while one will become a messenger, the other will become a medic who rescues fallen soldiers."

This is an interactive comic book that unitilizes animation, music and sound effects, allowing you to tap and swipe the screen to move forward events and better immerse you in the reading.
If you haven't picked up Valiant Hearts: The Great War yet, the first chapter is available for iOS for $4.99, with the next three chapters available as separate episodes for $3.99 each, or in a three-episode package for $8.99. All are avaiilable now, so just consider it a $14 game and it's an easier pill to swallow. The game is also available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC, but the free Dogs of War comic is only available to owners of the iOS game. Check it out here.
