Family Guy: The Quest For Stuff has been running a Halloween event the last month, and it's nearly over. You only have until Friday, November 7 to get all of the exclusive characters, buildings and decorations from the event, so there's no time to lose.
Family Guy's Adam West Runs For Mayor In Real Life. Seriously.
While some of the greatest stuff is only unlockable with a lot of work (did you manage to get the Ecto-1?) perhaps the greatest new content comes in the form of Freddy Krueger. You only have a few days to get him but there's still hope- he's not terribly hard to unlock.
First though you'll have to get to him by unlocking the Nighmare on Spooner Street quest. Then you'll have to buy and place Freddy's Mausoleum, which shouldn't be much of a hassle since it only takes a minute and costs 250 spirit vials.
Ghostbusters Outfits? The Alien And Predator? Jason? The Halloween Update Is Awesome
That will reveal Freddy in your town, but as with all of the characters in this game he is needy and wants something before he will unlock. Here's everything you'll need to do to get him. Once he's out you're going to have to run some errands for him to unlock him for the game, as with all of the other characters. Here's what ol' steak knives fingers wants:
- Krueger Cruiser -1000 Spirit Vials, 5 Mashmallow Goop, 30 Terror Dog Bones
- Krueger Furnace - 1000 Spirit Vials, 15 Latcher Talons, 5 Marshmallow Goop
- Krueger Tool Shed - 1000 Spirit Vials, 50 Candy Corn, 5 Marshmallow Goop
- Make Peter and Quagmire Cross Streams (an action that requires both to be in Ghostbusters costumes, takes four hours)
Do that and you'll have him unlocked in your game forever. And ever. And ever. And ever.
The easiest way to do this is to always have your characters vanquishing Terror Dogs, Banshees and the like. The Ghostbuster costumes should be your first prority if you haven't unlocked them already, as they'll unlock two-hour-long actions that net you Spirit Vials and one of the creatures. You should also be stocking up on rockets to destroy the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, as he is the single best source of Spirit Vials in the game. Hit him multiple times in a row and you'll get a multiplyer that can easily net you 1,000-2,000 Spirit Vials (and Marshmallow Goop) a hit.
This, plus all the numerous Halloween buildings you earn, will easily earn you enough Spirit Vials and items to unlock him.
He's a entertaining character, too. He has a short questline that sees our heroes trying to vanquish him, which is a lot of fun, and plus Freddy can BBQ with his glove. If you have Jason he can give the poor guy nightmares.
