Driveclub just can't catch a break. Just as more and more servers come online and developer Evolution Studios begins to bring more features back into the game, the PlayStation 4's 2.0 update makes connections unstable for all of PSN.
Dates For The Crew's Beta On PS4 And Xbox One Announced
PSN connections have been spotty ever since the 2.0 update went live for the PS4, GameSpot reported. So any problems connecting to multiplayer in Driveclub might be better blamed on PSN for the time being, especially since Evolution Studios is reporting that the game is getting closer and closer to its full capabilities.
In its latest Facebook update, Evolution Studios reiterated that they're seeing a majority of players being able to connect to online races. According to the post, the game's statistics and accolades systems are now running smoothly thanks to the server upgrades. In terms of software updates, yesterday Driveclub received a patch that gave it a better matchmaking system, allowing players looking for a race to be paired up with drivers of similar Internet connection strength.

According to the developer, the next major patch for the game should be happening this week. Depending on how quckly Sony is able to fix the PSN issues, though, it could be a while until the various stars are aligned in Driveclub's favor.
As always, there's still little new information about the elusive PS Plus edition of the game. Many news outlets are reporting that it is "on hold" for the time being, and with the PS Plus free games list for November out now, it doesn't look like next month will be any kinder for Plus members looking to put pedals to assorted metals.
