The last time we left the epic saga of the Driveclub servers, developer Evolution Studios mentioned that a "majority" of players were able to get online and play. Users, however, were still taking to comments sections to say how, even if they could technically connect to the game, it wouldn't be long before the connection failed and they were booted.

Yesterday, Evolution Studios put out an update saying that more servers coming online meant that more players were able to connect and stay connected. Further, the game's multiplayer options are being steadily increased, so those lucky players who do end up connecting have more to do when they want to race against the online community.
"Improving server performance is taking time, which is frustrating for all of us," the studio wrote in its latest Facebook post, "but please understand that we are doing everything we can to get all aspects of online play up and running smoothly as quickly as possible."

News of the free PS Plus version of the game, a pared-down port of the game that was supposed to be a Plus game for October, has been slim. The last time Evolution mentioned it was in a comment on Monday, and that was only to say that Plus members would only get an update once there was an update to share.
Of course, by the sounds of the player base, PS Plus members haven't been missing much, as online connectivity has been hit-or-miss.
With November soon approaching, it would make sense for Driveclub's Plus status to simply carry over for next month, sticking the PS4 exclusive with whatever else Sony has in store for November.
