The forthcoming multiplayer addition to Boom Beach, known as Task Forces, is going to be great. The patch will give players a chance to team up and take down the Blackguard forces in coordinated attacks and operations.
Halloween Update For Clash Of Clans Finally Released!
In Clash of Clans, the Clan Wars multiplayer mode is one of the most popular things in the entire game (a bold claim, considering the popularity of the game itself). This mode lets members of a clan assault the villages of another clan, with each player attacking their counterpart in the game. You are part of a clan, but you stand alone. The new Boom Beach Task Forces will allow you to co-ordinate your attacks with your allies. Everyone can assault the same base.
Which is good, because the Blackguard Power Bases you will be invading will not go down easy. In a forum post from Supercell staffer Tim, he warns you that "trying to solo them would be a mistake!"
Camp Pokemon Released On iOS Devices
The coordinated attacks (you are launching your very own Normandy, after all) will be key. So make sure you all like each other and speak the same language.
Basically, it breaks down as follows: every member on a Task Force is allowed one assault per operation. Each Power Base (the enemy fortress) can be attacked by one person at a time and the damage they cause is persistent, thus allowing another player to come in and push in further. Every Operation has a set amount of Force Points to collect, and every player will receive a reward regardless of how little damage they may have caused during the assault.
The reward amount depends greatly on your current experience level and the damage done. You earn Force Points by destroying any Power Base building. Destroy the Power Core to earn all Force Points for that particular Power Base. Afterwards, retire to your beachfront property and wait for the boat to deliver the reward to you.
It is a key difference between CoC and BB and one I am glad Supercell is going with, and not simply trying to recreate Clash of Clans, but with guns. The update should be hitting any day now, so keep an eye on that ocean horizon. See you on the beach.
