The launch of Halo: The Master Chief Collection is now less than a month away, meaning that we'll be seeing more of the game until the release date finally arrives.
Microsoft And 343 Announce New Halo Game Spartan Strike, A Follow-Up To Spartan Assault
Yesterday we got a look at the new 1080p, 60fps version of Halo: Combat Evolved that's included in the MCC. The footage looks sharp, and will no doubt bring memories flooding back (pun intended) to fans of the original game. Today 343 released new screenshots of Halo 2 Anniversary--the remastered version of the game running on a modern graphics engine--and it's looking very good.

You can switch between the original graphics and the remastered version at any time while playing, and the new visuals are impressive. Master Chief and his companions have never looked so good, and there's little doubt fans will enjoy replaying the campaign in all its new splendor. The newer images (including the picture at the top of the post) are from cinematic cutscenes, but the included screens of in-engine graphics make the 12 year old game look great, too--enjoy:
