The latest in a long line of tank simulators, Armored Warfare, is currently in beta. Developer Obsidian Entertainment has released details on a new PvE mode which allows players to work together in more than just destroy the other team capacity.
Tanki Online Adds Smart Cooldowns
The new mode offers players a chance to experience the rush of semi-realistic mission based objectives. The mode takes place on entirely new maps specifically created for the PvE experience, all of which are modelled on real world locations. "Players will face the same challenges and conditions as a tank crew during real military action. The surroundings, military hardware and visual effects will create a powerful effect of presence."
The missions will take approximately 20 minutes total and will be separated into three phases, or 'incursions'. The group, which consists of a maximum of four players, will have to work in unison to overcome the enemy AI, which has been reworked to adjust for the gamer's strategies. The enemy will never behave the same way twice. Groups can be compiled of friends, clan members or the dreaded 'randos'.
So. Many. Tanks. Armored Warfare New Unit; Top Tank Now Available On Android
In some missions, the squad may face superior enemy forces or even a mini boss - an especially powerful battle unit that it is virtually impossible to destroy alone.
In addition to completing the main objective, players will also be given individual tasks which are critical to mission success and the rewards doled at the end of the match. They are randomly assigned and are as follows:
Attack - seize an enemy position from the enemy within the allotted time.
Destroy - destroy a specific target
Escape - cover a distance while under close enemy fire within the allotted time.
Defense - hold on to a location or point for an allotted time.
Survival - resist an enemy offensive, attacking in waves, for the allotted time.
