Apple News And Rumors: Parisian Boutique Teases Apple Event, Possibly About Apple Watch

One French Boutique Looks Like It's Teasing An Apple Watch Event For Tuesday

A new announcement from French boutique Colette reveals that a "one day only experience" is being put on with Apple for eight hours tomorrow.

The teaser, posted over at 9to5Mac, was found on the boutique's website. Typical for Apple events like this, precious little can be learned from the teaser other than the fact that it's happening. This image, however, does reveal a little more than last month's "Wish we could say more" ad.

As reports have been pointing out, the Colette ad features a pattern of circles that is very reminiscent of the home screen of the Apple Watch. Back at its debut, Apple showed off their wearable's "universe of apps," a collection of circles that radiates out from the central app, the clock in the case of the Apple Watch. This has led many to assume that the upcoming event in Paris will be about the upcoming Apple wearable.

Introducing The Apple Watch: A Recap Of The Wearable's Announcement

If the event actually is about the Apple Watch, it'll mark the device's first big outing following its reveal earlier this month. And there's good reason to suspect that the watch will be the focus of the event. Apple's industry and Colette's industry don't overlap in many places, but wearable technology like the smartwatches that started hitting the market in the summer have started to bridge the gap between fashion and technology.

We'll have to wait and see why Apple is holding an event specifically with this French boutique. Maybe Apple respects the fact that Colette is able to outmatch it in terms of self-importance. No matter how insufferable Apple can get at times, at least they don't have Colette's "water bar," which houses a collection of dozens of brands of bottled water for sale.
