QuakeCon 2015 Dates Released; Country's Biggest LAN Party Celebrating 20 Years; Special Hotel Room Rates Offered For Free Event

Get Your Hotels Booked Early: QuakeCon 2015 Dates Announced For 20th Anniversary Spectacular

We are thankfully out of the summer glut of endless gaming conventions. E3, SDCC, Pax Prime, TGS, and Gamescom have all come and gone. The only thing to do now, obviously, is to start preparing for next year's con season. iD and Bethesda have announced the dates for 2015 QuakeCon, once again taking place in Dallas.

Third And Final Titanfall DLC 'IMC Rising' Released

The 20th anniversary of the premiere player's convention will be held from Thursday, July 23 to Sunday, July 26. The convention will once again be the largest BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) LAN party event of its kinds and will feature tournaments, prizes and panels galore of Quake and so much more. Bethesda and ZeniMax (who own iD) will be on hand to demonstrate some of their upcoming titles, which hopefully will include more information on the upcoming DOOM IV, which was demoed at this year's installment.

While releasing the info this early may seem crazy, think about what they're dealing with. Seemingly every weekend is a major convention somewhere in the world, not to mention the countless dozen smaller events that happen all the time. Con goers are dedicated, and they need to plan out their summer adventures. Maybe even we at GameNGuide will get to go next year.

NYCC: Meet The Voice Actors From Korra And TMNT!

We should note that QuakeCon 2015 is open to the public and attendance is FREE thanks to the support of id Software and Bethesda Softworks, the QuakeCon volunteer staff, and the 2015 event sponsors and exhibitors. So all you have to do is pay for the flight and lodging. The official press release suggest staying at the Hilton Anatole. Reserve your room here and be sure to mention QuakeCon 2015 for a special rate of $164 per night.

What do you think they'll be showing off next year?
