Sherlock Holmes Crimes And Punishments Trailer Takes A Somber Look At The Pretty Little Crimes Within, Preorder Bonus Revealed

Those Are Some Pretty Little Crimes You Have Found, Holmes In Newest Crimes & Punishments Trailer

September belongs to Holmes. Frogwares has released the next in a series of weekly trailers showing off footage of their upcoming Sherlock Holmes title, Crimes & Punishments.

The Evil Within Set To Claire De Lune Is Even More Terrifying

The new video breaks from its predecessors in that it focuses more on the atmosphere of the game, rather than a particular game mechanic or location. Unsurprisingly, it is very well done, the best of the four by far. Set to a moody, anachronistic pop song, the trailer reveals the shadier shade of Victorian England. What good is a crime solver with no crimes to solve?

Per the release, "It is a trailer about empathy, blame, and punishment - not of the suspect, but of Sherlock himself, as he lives with the decisions made throughout the game." Ultimately, you make the final decision about what to do with the suspect, you can send them to Scotland Yard or you can let them go, "after a dressing down in true Holmes style." Not only can you commit any of up to five suspects, but you can also commit two - then, your moral choice will follow, and their fate will be left in your hands, with all the responsibility on your conscience.

Live. Die. Repeat. In Latest Styx: Master Of Shadows Trailer

Regardless of the outcome, it appears that there will be repercussions no matter what you, as Holmes, decides to do.

Crimes & Punishments arrives for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3 and PC on September 30. You can pre-order the game now, via Steam, and receive a free copy of The Testament of Sherlock Holmes, an older entry into the long running series.
