The Awesomenauts MOBA released its new 2.6 patch at the beginning of this month, but developer Ronimo Games is already looking toward the next big update to the game. They've already announced one of the new features that will be implemented in 2.7, and it's meant to help rookies to the online game catch up to the pack more quickly.
The New Update For Guardian Cross Also Lowers The Learning Curve For Entering Players
The upcoming patch, nicknamed "The Frozen Frontier," will include a new series of Beginner Missions to lower the learning curve and help new players get the hang of the game more quickly. When the patch launches, loading up the game for the first time will prompt this series of small tasks. Missions like playing through the tutorial, surviving a bot match and killing your first enemy will gradually unlock more features and characters in the game.
New players who prefer to do things the old fashioned way, though, can opt out of these Beginner Missions, presumably unlocking content through the previous method of simply leveling up.
New World Of Warcraft Patch Lengthens Battles
Ronimo Games has also already teased the second new feature of the upcoming update. Judging by the artwork, it looks like The Frozen Frontier will somehow change how the game's droids work.
As of September 1, the 2.6 "Reloaded" path went live, adding a new level, a new profile system and several new character skins into the game. Patch 2.6 also added a change to the game's loadout system. Instead of choosing available power-ups before a match, players are allowed to select which power-ups they'd like to invest in during the match. Players are still limited to three power-ups per row, but now they can select which three they want throughout the course of a match, allowing players to better adapt their strategy to the challenges of a specific match.
