In The Market For A Crazy Expensive Yet Super High-Def TV? LG Has You Covered With Ultra HD 4K OLED Models That Cost Up To $24,999

OLED displays are one of the newest inventions in the television market, spawning a new line of TVs that run in the more expensive price ranges. Ultra HD 4K is the new category of resolution that has also spawned a collection of high-range TVs. What happens when you merge these two technologies together? You get something like LG's new series of Ultra HD OLED TVs, the super high-definition (not to mention super expensive) appliances that just happen to be the first of their kind that will hit American markets.

The new line of TVs comes in two models. The first comes with a 65-inch screen and will hit U.S. markets in October for $9,999. The second is arriving a bit later and only at select retailers. This version comes packed with a 77-inch screen and will set consumers back $24,999 when it hits stores in November.

The two models are certainly on the high end of the market, but the result is being able to watch the highest resolution 4K programming in its native format using the next big thing in television display technology.

"LG 4K OLED TV is a technological achievement that will set a new standard for the way consumers think of picture quality," said Tim Alessi, director of new product development for LG Electronics USA, in a release. "OLED on its own has already been hailed as the best screen technology on the market. Combining the stunning capabilities of this technology with the higher resolution of Ultra HD is a true game-changer –it will reshape the industry and leave consumers simply amazed."

Both TVs will be on display this weekend at the CEDIA electronics expo in Denver.
