Project CARS (Community Assisted Racing Simulator) continues its success story. The game's release has been pushed up a few days to November 18 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

The game was originally scheduled for release on November 21, so while the move is not the most earth shattering of announcements, it does reveal a confidence that Bandai Namco has in Slightly Mad Studios for the project.
A Wii U version is expected November 2015.

It is hard for a racing sim to find a place of purchase to grab these days. Forza and Gran Turismo are the Apple and Microsoft of the industry, nudging out all competitors. Project CARS, thankfully, is not trying to be those two. Instead, the game adds a sandbox element to how players can progress through the game. Ravi Sinha, developer, said to Gamingbolt, "All cars, tracks, and motorsports are open from day one... we won't be asking you to buy tokens to get hold of them, for example.
"If you want to jump straight into the career of a LeMans Prototype driver then you can, but if you also want a more traditional 'zero to hero' career then that progression is available too. It feels more like a sports franchise like FIFA therefore - pick your team, start playing through a calendar year, strive for success, get rewards/opportunities, and then change teams or move onto a completely different motorsport. There's inherent freedom in that."
