With the release of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 inching ever closer, Lionsgate is teasing us with new promotional images from the film. After getting a first look at Katniss' District 13 rebel warriors a few weeks ago, we finally get a look at the Mockingjay herself.

After destroying the Hunger Games arena in the second outing of the trilo-sorry, tetralogy - Catching Fire, Katniss Everdeen was whisked away to the secret (and long thought destroyed) thirteenth District of Panem by Gamesmaster-cum-Capital-turncoat Plutarch Heavensbee (the late Phillip Seymour Hoffman, his role in the upcoming films digitally touched up) and finally took up her role of Mockingjay outside of the confines of the Capital's influence.
The third and fourth films, adaptations of the third book of the Hunger Games trilogy, will focus on Katniss and her friends' guerilla war against the Capital, so no more actual "Hunger Games" (unless you count this war being a great game played with the dissolution of hunger as one of the stakes, then sure).
Two Game Of Thrones Characters Won't Return Next Season
The now-typical "character with his/her back to the poster" stance could be conceived as played out, but we'll allow it this time, since it shows us Katniss' cool Mockingjay wings worked into her armor. Form follows function - good job, fellas!
