Developer CD Projekt RED will be bringing a build of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to the show floor at PAX Prime to give showgoers a taste of the RPG's gameplay, great for anyone having a hard time waiting until the game's scheduled release date in February. Throughout the weekend, the developer will also be hosting giveaways for convention attendees. For the rest of us unable to make it to Seattle, though, CD Projekt RED is still encouraging participation over its social media channels. Updates from PAX will be broadcast over the developer's Instagram page and the @witchergame Twitter account.
In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the popular series' first new outing since 2011's Assassins of Kings, players once again take on the mantle of monster hunter Geralt. This time however he's facing off against a powerful and relentless band of enemies, the titular Wild Hunt, who have been terrorizing settlements in the Northern Kingdoms. Through all this, Geralt is tasked with protecting someone at the middle of an old prophesy while navigating a wide, non-linear open world filled with realistic and changing environments.
