Metro Redux Now Available, Launch Trailer Shows Off Last Light And 2033 HD Graphics Upgrades [VIDEO]

Metro Redux is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and with it comes an attractive new launch trailer you can watch below.

The game offers HD versions of both Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light in one package, improving both the visuals and gameplay mechanics. In addition, some of the more advanced features from Last Light have been incorporated into 2033 in these remasterings.

The trailer below shows off the vastly improved HD visuals, a first for console versions of the Metro titles. The PC versions of the past titles have been visually superior due to the more powerful hardware offered by some rigs--the console versions just never looked nearly as good. With the Xbox One and PS4, though, the developers had a chance to bring all of the upgrades (and some gameplay improvements, as well) to a new audience.

Metro Redux runs at a smooth 60fps on both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, which will please many who are frustrated by the inconsistencies of current games that can't reach 60 or those that fluctuate.

The gameplay upgrades to Metro 2033 include the better A.I., stealth, weapon customization and more that were seen in Last Light. New gameplay segments, hidden areas, and other bonuses have been added to 2033, as well, and loading areas between sections have been replaced with seamless movement.

As such, even if you played the originals on PC, there is some reason to revisit the titles in these remastered versions. You can purchase Metro Redux for $49.99 on all three platforms, or buy the remastered version of either game individually for $24.99 each.
