At the San Diego Comic-Con this weekend Marvel Editor Ben Morse revealed that the hugely anticipated film Guardians of the Galaxy will be coming to video games- in a manner of speaking. The Xbox versions of Minecraft will be getting a new skin pack that features all five lead characters!
Minecraft Xbox One Edition Hits August, Allows 360 Owners To Upgrade For Cheap
Director James Gunn's latest has been getting almost universally positive reviews, with some stating that it might be the best Marvel movie yet. A game tie-in certainly makes sense, even one that only gives you five new characters to play with.
You have to love the new look for Gamora, Drax, Star Lord, Rocket Racoon and Groot- although the sizes of the characters aren't exactly a 1:1 ratio.
Minecraft PS4 And Vita Versions Announced As Well- Features Cross-Buy
This isn't the first skin pack for the game, of course. They only recently released the massive Halo pack, as well as a new Skin Pack 6 that contained skins from Killer Instinct, Trials Fusion, and Mirror's Edge.

This is apparently only for Xbox 360 and Xbox One so far. There's no word on if they'll make it to other platforms, but it's likely that they will. Minecraft has sold almost 54 million copies across all of its platforms, which is just staggering, but the console versions have their own features and downloadables.
The popularity of the game will only continue, what with it hitting PS4, Xbox one and PS Vita next month.
