Fans of Avatar: The Legend of Korra will be able to control their beloved/hated Avatar Korra in an upcoming action game from Platinum games.
Korra Gets Release Date, Trailer
With a story by series writer Tim Hedrick that's set between books 2 and 3, players will be able to control Korra and her polar bear dog Naga in fighting and on-rails running sections, as well as compete in a pro bending league as a mini-game. Korra will be able to switch between elements on the fly, combining them into devastating attacks against rogue benders or evil spirits.
The cell-shaded action game will feature a casual mode for fans who just want to experience the story, and a "normal" mode for more experienced action gamers. In the video below, director Eiro Shirahama states (through a translator) that fans of previous Platinum games such as Vanquish or Bayonetta will definitely recognize their style in it.

Perhaps most excitingly, Shirahama-san, after some talk of Ghostbusters, stated that Platinum would be open to more licensed games if there's enough fan demand for it.
Besides Legend of Korra, there is also a turn-based strategy game for 3DS coming out called The Legend of Korra: A New Era Begins. The Legend of Korra will be available for download on PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360 this fall. Check out the full IGN panel below:
