Alright, ringside warriors! Darren Young drops a double suplex on your behinds, announcing he joins the roster and will be open for play on the first WWE game of the current console gen: WWE 2K15.
WWE 2K15: Skin & Hair Improvements; Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt & Cesaro Revealed
In what is hopefully one of the first of many big announcements to come out of GaymerX, the Kickstarted queer gamer expo in San Fran (tickets still available, my friends of all persuasions and preferences), WWE superstar Darren Young has announced his playability in this fall's upcoming WWE 2K15. He joins John Cena, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt, a flatteringly young looking Hulk Hogan and a myriad of other champions in the ring.
Young was part of tag team duo Prime Time Players with Titus O'Neil. He was recently injured and hasn't been active in the last few months. Rumor among wrestling fans who wish not to be named had it that the team was broken up by WWE president Vince McMahon and his discomfort with Young's outing of his sexuality. This has surely gutted fans who had to go without Young's classic finisher, the Gut Check. But rejoice! For you can throw guys in the air and let them land on your knees with their exposed abdomens starting this October 28 in the US and October 31 internationally.
John Cena Promises WWE 2K15 To Be "Best Wrestling Game Ever"
Inclusion of gay characters in games is no doubt a positive evolution. We've recently seen Dorian in Dragon Age: Inquisition, but having a traditionally male-oriented game like WWE 2K15 cross this milestone can only be applauded. Neither Bioware nor 2K have made any complaints about the difficulty to animate Dorian or Young.
