The Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS details will keep coming from Nintendo ahead of the staggered release of both versions, even after all the excitement from E3.
All-White Samus And America-Themed Mario Super Smash Bros. Costumes Revealed
The title will be out for 3DS on October 3, as Nintendo announced at the gaming conference, and this holiday season on Wii U. A specific release date for the console version will likely be forthcoming as winter approaches, but Nintendo has plenty of time to make that announcement.
Several new characters and other details were revealed at E3 as expected, including the unveiling of Lady Palutena, Pac-man, Mr. Game & Watch, and the Mii Fighters. Even after these major announcements, though, series director Masahiro Sakurai will continue to give us comparatively smaller details through the official site in the form of a daily picture update.

Today's post shows off a fun, smaller detail of the game, revealing Pac-man's unique taunt. The image above shows him holding out his hand where a character appears, and there are multiple selections available--here's Sakurai's description:
"Pic of the day. Pac-Man's up taunt is known as Namco Roulette! Namco characters from the 1980s will randomly appear."
Additionally, Sakurai announced that a new character reveal is on the way next week. Rather than show it in a Nintendo direct like usualy, the company will livestream just the 'new challenger' video on Monday, July 14, at 7 a.m. Pacific Time. Sakurai also warned us that there aren't too many characters left to reveal:
"Looks like we're nearing the bottom of the stash of new challenger videos that we've made... Like always, we put a lot of effort into it, so I hope you'll enjoy watching it live."
Keep checking back for more Super Smash Bros. news each day, especially next week when we see a new character revealed.
