FOX has just unveiled the first teaser for the highly anticipated second season of their surprise hit, Sleepy Hollow.
Your Revolutionary War Binge-Watch
I do absolutely mean surprise. On paper, Sleepy Hollow is utterly absurd: a British defector during the Revolutionary War wakes up in modern day Sleepy Hollow, NY and is thrust into a plot of, quite literally, apocalyptic origins. It turns out that Washington Irving's most famous creation, the Headless Horsemen, is actually one of the Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse and he's back, too, and he's wielding an M-16 rifle like it ain't no thing. That the show exists is one thing -- ridiculous ideas get made into tv shows all the time -- that it's actually really, really good is perhaps the most ridiculous thing of all.
The 15 second teaser is vague but enticing. The shocking events of the season 1 finale appear to be quickly dispatched with. After all, you can't keep Tom Mison, the greatest find in television in some years (and our choice to play Doctor Strange), locked in a box for episodes on end. We will not stand for it.
Path Of Exile Gets A Graphic Novel Adaptation
The show stars Mison, Nicole Beharie, Orlando Jones and John Noble. It's produced by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, who also ran the great Fringe but are responsible for most of the crappy blockbusters Hollywood puts out year after year. The two really ought to stick to television, because they are just great at it.
The second season of Sleepy Hollow is set to premiere on September 22. Watch the teaser below!
