Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare kicked off Microsoft's E3 press conference with an extended gameplay demo, which showed off a futuristic setting in the familiar Call of Duty style.
Big set pieces, dramatic moments, explosions, and lots of shooting reminded you that this is certainly a Call of Duty game, but it's wrapped up in new laser weapons and targeting grenades. It looks like a huge change of scenery if nothing else, with giant robots, different weapons, and new scenarios awaiting players, even if the core gameplay is the same.
Microsoft also announced that the DLC will be available first on Xbox One--sorry PlayStation gamers. It's unclear how long that exclusivity will last, but Microsoft hopes that advantage will give their system a leg up on the competition with gaming's largest franchise.
