EA Sports has released the first gameplay trailer for Madden 15, giving us the first look at in-game footage for next year's version of the annual football franchise.

In an extension of the first teaser for the game, Carolina Panthers' MLB Luke Kuechly makes it out of the locker room and onto the field this time, showing the importance of defense in the NFL.
The trailer transports Kuechly to the field towards the end, facing him off against the Seahawks. We get about 30 seconds of gameplay all said and done, culminating in the linebacker taking out the ball carrier and unleashing a roar (which they seemingly dubbed over with the roar of an actual lion, because why not?).

It's hard to notice much of a graphical improvement over Madden 25 to be honest, though the player models and jerseys may be slightly upgraded. It will likely be another year least until we see the real power of the next gen consoles at work for sports titles, as publishers will not want to make Xbox One and PS4 exclusives and let go of the PS3 and Xbox 360 install bases.
NBA 2K 15 is set to do the same cross-generation release, as is the EA NHL franchise. Perhaps the 2016 iterations will be the ones to buck the trend, but don't expect huge AI or graphics upgrades for many of the 2015 releases.
