'World of Tanks' Publisher Will Appear At The Wicksteed At War Military Show

Wargaming, the World of Tanks publisher, today has announced its presence at the 4th annual Wicksteed At War military history show and family event that will be held June 14 and 15 at the Wicksteed Park in Northamptonshire, England.

World of Tanks 9.1 Update Adds Stunning Physicality

"Events like this bring us a lot closer to a likeminded audience who like tanks and military history. With over 40,000 people being thrilled by the WWII battle re-enactments and vehicle displays, it will be great to meet up and chat with fans of the game, and make some new ones along the way, at this truly special event." says Markus Schill, Director of Customer Relations at Wargaming. You don't get millions of players immersed in military battles without getting a few invites to the real thing.

Wicksteed At War is a show that seeks to educate visitors in the realities of war through its dedication to displaying military vehicles and providing a space for realistic re-enactments by military re-enactment groups. Combined with the family attractions of Wicksteed Park it is a great weekend for visitors young and old.

Military shows are an amazing thing. Any 8 year old who gets a chance to see the Blue Angels, the famous air show here in the States, should jump on that immediately. Even the hippie-est of hippies can appreciate precision, ballet-like flying, but having tanks? That sounds just a little bit cooler because you can touch them and see them up close.

British World of Tanks, World of Warplanes and World of Warships gamers who attend the Wicksteed At War event will also be treated to a beer festival, a throwback 1940s era ball, battle reenactments, various tank and vehicle displays and several memorial flyovers from a Lancaster Bomber and the famous, nimble Spitfire. Beer, tanks, battles. What more could you possibly hope for in a weekend?

You can visit the Wicksteed At War website here and head over to England to join in the festivities, but you can play World of Tanks here, right now, for free.
