Are you like me and not going to E3 because your boss is all 'we can only send one person, so we're sending me'? Well then, my fellow underlings, Sony has got you covered. Rather than enduring the hell of flying across the country and being packed like sardines into the convention center, Sony will be live casting their E3 to about 50 movie theaters across North America on June 9th, starting at 9pm eastern. I hope the trailers are good!
The Order: 1886 Delayed Until 2015
The Playstation blog announced the multi-platform event today. In addition to getting the full Sony E3 experience, attendees will also be privy to an additional 30 minutes of footage, which will include some extended gameplay footage (The Order!) as well as interviews with some famous game developers. Geoff Keighley will take the reins as host for the evening and will even be treating attendees to a few surprise gifts (none of which will be The Order, sadly).
And, unlike going to the movies for real, the event won't cost you 14 bucks! The whole thing is free, but is on a first come, first serve basis. You can find out which theater in your area is showing the event and RSVP here.
World of Tanks Blitz E3 Programming Announced
Fear not, if you aren't anywhere close to a theater, you can still watch the choppy, 'everybody is trying to view this' liveblog on the Playstation.Blog site. I do hope to hear reports of people MST3King the entire event, as some of the best times I've had in a movie theater never had an actual movie playing.
