The Creative Assembly recently announced the next DLC for Total War: Rome 2, the Pirates & Raiders Culture Pack, which will add new units and factions focused on invasion. Today the developers have released a video showing off some of the new additions, and taking a closer look at one of the new factions, Getae.

The new playable nations, unlike the rest from the original game, actually gain bonuses for remaining at war, encouraging you to stay aggressive and maintain combat with your neighbors. To do this, you'll need the appropriate soldiers to effectively wage war.
The video not only shows you the attribute screens and in-combat footage of the new units in action, but gives you tips on how to use them in battle. The narrator talks about the strengths and weaknesses of handful of the new units you'll be able to play with, even though there are many who can't make it into the video.

In particular focus are units from the Ardiaei (known to the Romans as Illyrians), as well as the Odrysian Kingdom's unique Thracian horsemen. Tylis is also getting three new additions, including two infantry and one cavalry unit.
The new Getae faction are emphasized as well, bringing the elite Nobile Swords unit to the battlefield. This unit has very high attack and damage ratings, making them perfect for leading the charge at an enemy line. Being from a barbarian faction, the Noble Swords also have frenzy abilities that further boost damage, and those that improve morale. Ranged Dacian bowmen and skirmisher units have been added to support the melee fighters, as well.
