Watch Dogs' latest video shows off the massive world of Chicago, but how does the size of the map compete with Grand Theft Auto 5?
Watch Dogs 101 Trailer Shows You Everything You Need To Know About Hacking
Thanks to the insane people of Reddit, we have that answer. Everyone loves a massive world to play around in, and Watch Dogs is certainly no slouch, but it can't compete with GTA:V's Los Santos, or even GTA:IV's Liberty City.
This is just one person's comparison and probably isn't entirely accurate but of course, Watch Dogs' Chicago doesn't have wilderness and suburbs in it, since it's almost all based on the concrete jungle. After all, if the whole game revolves around you hacking into the city's network and manipulating electronics, why would you want to go anywhere that's off the grid?
Turns out that neither PS4 or Xbox One Versions of Watch Dogs Are 1080p
The trailer shows a few quotes from early press for the game, some of which are pretty amusing, to be honest. One says "Nothing Else Like It" right as they show tons of shots of protagonist Aiden Pearce driving cars, shooting guns, and causing mayhem in a city. That's certainly something we've seen time and time again since GTA3 blew up the gaming industr,y and I don't think it's a stretch to say that these portions are probably the least exciting bits of the game. No, the most exciting is the potential to hack into the city, to take control of the infrastructure and change it to your will. Hopefully there's more of an emphasis on that aspect of the game.
Watch Dogs will be availble next Tuesday, May 30. Keep your mask and cell phone handy.
