'Code Violet' is a Third-Person Action Horror Shooter Coming to the PlayStation 5

Developer TeamKill Media recently announced a "Dino Crisis" inspired third-person action horror game, "Code Violet," that is set to come out on the PlayStation 5 but not PC.

While the announcement trailer of the upcoming game used PC gameplay footage, the studio said that it will not be available on the platform. "Code Violet" will let players take control of Violet Sinclair, who is tasked with uncovering the mysteries of the Aion Bioengineering Complex.

Throughout her journey, the protagonist must avoid, hide, or fight against the plethora of creatures who have overrun the facility. What makes "Code Violet" feel like "Dino Crisis" is that some of these creatures are, in fact, dinosaurs.

TeamKill Media said that the reason for not bringing "Code Violet" to PC is because they fear the possibility of vulgar mods. However, some fans think that this is simply a PR stunt as other titles from the studio came out on PC, according to DSO Gaming.

Some believe that the decision for the current situation is that the studio is trying to gain the attention of most of the gaming media. Many players also argued that the game's debut trailer was a form of false advertising.

This is because the gameplay footage will not look anything like how it would be when "Code Violet" comes out on the PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Pro. While the game may look similar to the PC visuals, it would not be as crisp as the debut trailer footage.

No PC Release

TeamKill Media made the announcement to not bring "Code Violet" to PC on X, noting that they do not want any vulgar mods of the characters within the game. The studio added that it would also work to protect the voice actors and actresses who are involved with the project, Dual Shockers said.

The developer said that it holds actors and actresses in high regard and rejects any form of destroying its artistic vision for "Code Violet" with sexual mods. TeamKill Media ended its announcement by saying that making a joke out of its art and potentially tarnishing the reputation of its voice actors and actresses is not worth the extra profit.

The story of "Code Violet" is set in the 25th Century after mankind was able to narrowly survive a cataclysm that left the planet uninhabitable and in ruins. The remaining survivors decided to look to the stars and find a new world: Trappist 1-E, to rebuild and start anew, according to Gematsu.
