A former voice actor for previous entries in the "Dragon Age" franchise, Greg Ellis, has been arrested for reportedly threatening to publicly share intimate photos with his ex-girlfriend.
Ellis has been arrested on multiple charges, including for an alleged threat of revenge porn against his former romantic partner. The voice actor, whose real name is Jonathan Rees, was taken into custody in the United States over alleged coercion, unlawful surveillance, aggravated harassment, and unlawful dissemination or publication of an intimate image.
Dragon Age Voice Actor Arrested
This is not the first time that the suspect was brought to court over alleged harassment of his ex-girlfriend. The charges against Ellis are related to a breakup between him and his former partner in 2022, where he allegedly made threats of revenge porn.
Additionally, the voice actor was charged with perjury and "offering a false instrument for filing." The latter refers to the act of knowingly submitting a falsified document to a public office or government agency with the intention of having it be accepted as an official record, according to Game Spot.

Court documents revealed that Ellis was in a relationship with an unnamed woman from April 2016 to September 2022, which is when they broke up. The harassment reportedly includes threats of self-harm.
Threatening Revenge Porn
In the suspect's preliminary statement, he said that he is a "public figure" and noted that he has more than 65,000 followers on X and 17,000 followers on Instagram. It was noted that within a month of the woman breaking up with Rees, he started messaging her friends and family and shared personal information and intimate photos of her.
The voice actor also testified in November 2022 and admitted to attempting to use revenge porn to force his ex-girlfriend to respond to his messages. Even after a domestic violence restraining order was filed against him, Rees continued to intimidate witnesses who could testify against him, Kotaku said.
Ellis is most popular for playing Theodore Groves in "Pirates of the Caribbean" and also voiced Cullen Rutherford in the "Dragon Age" franchise. The voice actor played the same character throughout the series up until "Dragon Age: Inquisition."
In recent years, the voice actor has claimed that the family court system was biased against men. He has repeatedly claimed that his children were removed from his care over a false allegation that he threatened to harm them.
It was during his time that he released a video where he took the role of Rutherford and spoke about himself in the third person. He spoke against the MeToo movement, feminism, and cancel culture, according to The Gamer.
