Riot Games just shared a new cinematic trailer for "League of Legends," which acts as a teaser for the game's upcoming competitive season.

The developer once again worked together with Fortiche to bring the "Welcome to Noxus" trailer that showcased several Noxian champions in action. These include Mel from Arcane, who is the council member from Piltover, traveling to the Immortal Bastion.

League of Legends' New Cinematic Trailer

The latest trailer showed off some cool battle engagements between different champions, such as Katarina and Elise and Trundle and Darius. What is notable about the footage is that it also included some crucial story developments that tie the game with the Netflix series.

At the end of the cinematic trailer, Riot Games showed off the leaders of the Black Rose, scheming about what steps they would take next. The next season of "League of Legends'" is set to start on Jan. 9, 2025, and features a Noxus theme, according to Polygon.

There are also changes to the terrain and turrets of the map that fit the militant nation's themes. The new season brings a new skin line, the Masque of the Black Rose, which includes several champions attending a fancy dance ball that is hosted by the mysterious group.

The Welcome to Noxus trailer also showed fans of the franchise some parts of the party in question, which Katarina later interrupted during her assassination attempt. She is known to be an assassin who is loyal to Swain, who is the current leader of Noxus.

Many fans praised Fortiche for its attempt to bring life to the fight scenes between different champions from "League of Legends." The studio incorporated its own style, which was seen in the Arcane Netflix series, to make it look even better, Dual Shockers said.

Another thing that "League of Legends" fans noticed in the Welcome to Noxus trailer is that some champions used their abilities from the game during the fights. These include Katarina's blink dash and Elise's web stun.

The only part of the trailer that was not as straightforward was Mel's journey, which was seen as being more important in the grand scheme of things. She is seen fighting against the same Black Rose enemies that she encountered at the end of the Arcane show.

The cinematic trailer also comes as Riot Games has not yet officially given any information regarding a new series following the end of Arcane. One thing that we do know is that the creators are looking at three major regions: Demacia, Ionia, and Noxus, according to Anime Corner.
