'Palworld' Item Guide: How To Get & Use Ancient Pal Manuscripts

Developer PocketPair added a ton of new content to "Palworld" with the latest Feybreak update, including a new island, new Pals, and brand-new items.

One of the new items that were recently introduced is the Ancient Pal Manuscripts, which is an important item to progress in Feybreak. There are a lot of ways that players can get this new item throughout the new area.

The Feybreak Island is six times larger than the original map of the game, which means that players have a lot of things to discover. This guide offers a general overview of the different methods to get Ancient Pal Manuscripts and how to use them.

How To Get Ancient Pal Manuscripts

"Palworld" players can find Ancient Pal Manuscripts using two different methods: Pal Expeditions or completing Bounties. Generally speaking, you can get a lot more of these items through the former. However, the latter is also a simple and straightforward method, according to Screen Rant.

Players can find purple Bounty markers scattered across the map that have you defeating a particular target to get a reward. On the other hand, using the Pal Expeditions method requires you to build a Pal Expedition Station first, which is unlocked at Technology level 15.

One thing to note is that not all of the locations available in Pal Expeditions will yield Ancient Pal Manuscripts. The only ones that you should target if you want this item in particular are the following:

Cave in the Grassland
Dark Cave of Feybreak
Forest's Secret Realm
Frozen Cave of the Snow Mountain
Hidden Ruins of the Desert
Spirit Blossom Cave of Sakurajima
Volcanic Inferno Cave

When you start Pal Expeditions, you can assign up to 100 allied Pals to go on the journey to find what you need. You need to make sure that the Pals you select match the required type, are not in your current party, and are not assigned to any tasks, Sportskeeda said.

How To Use Ancient Pal Manuscripts

When you finally have a lot of Ancient Pal Manuscripts from either Pal Expeditions or Bounties, you can finally start using them. These items are needed to upgrade your Pals' ability to do various tasks, such as mining and crafting.

In order to do this, you need to make use of the Pal Labor Research Laboratory, which is unlocked at Technology level 20, and select the category you want to improve. You then choose a passive skill from the tree.

This essentially gives you an extra passive skills tree for your Pals that uses Ancient Pal Manuscripts instead of experience, according to Dexerto.
