Players have access to a variety of different relics in "Slay the Spire," with some having more useful effects compared to others.
Newcomers to the popular roguelike can sometimes find it difficult to choose which relics are the best to use and which ones should just be avoided. This decision is made even more important as relics in "Slay the Spire" play a key role in players' arsenal throughout the game.
Many of the relics in the game can be acquired through various means but some require more effort to obtain. Your choice of relics can also change depending on your build or playstyle because of their varied effects.
This guide lists some of the best relics you can get in "Slay the Spire" and which ones are useful because of their effects. Look through the list and see which relics will benefit your build or playstyle the best.
1. Fossilized Helix
First on the list is the Fossilized Helix, which is a rare relic that gives a very useful buff for players. This item will prevent you from taking damage the first time you are hit and this effect will proc each combat.
This is particularly useful when fighting against bosses and tough-hitting enemies that you haven't quite yet figured out how to beat reliably, according to Dual Shockers.
2. Shovel
The Shovel relic in "Slay the Spire" lets players dig for more relics at Rest Sites, which is a very useful effect to have. However, you will have to choose whether to give up some HP or upgrade a card to get this effect.

3. Tiny House
The Tiny House relic can only be obtained from a boss chest and will give your character a potion, 50 gold, a card, and increase your maximum HP by five while also upgrading one of your cards, Pocket Gamer said.
Though this relic only has a one-time effect, it is still one of the best relics available in "Slay the Spire" that players should keep an eye out for.
4. Teardrop Locket
This particular relic will let Watchers start in Calm at the beginning of each fight, which allows players to make use of Calm-dependent cards as soon as possible. This is a very useful buff that can sometimes spell the difference between victory and defeat, according to The Gamer.
5. Fusion Hammer
Another useful relic in the game is the Fusion Hammer, which is arguably the best one to use to get more energy. The main drawback of this relic is that you will no longer be able to upgrade your cards in exchange for getting an extra energy point.
