Capcom recently announced via a press release that it remains committed to revitalizing its dormant classic video game franchises.

Many fans are excited to see just exactly what other titles and franchises Capcom plans to bring back in the future. The press release noted that the efforts to bring back classic IPs will come alongside the company's work to release major titles regularly every year.

The company said that it will take advantage of its industry-leading game development capabilities to create highly entertaining gameplay experiences for fans to enjoy, VGChartz said.

New Okami and Onimusha Games

The reveal of the Okami sequel and Onimusha Way of the Sword mark the first new entry in either franchise in the last 18 years. Capcom revealed that it is planning to broaden the range of video game titles that it puts out and make more profit.

Talking about Onimusha, is an action game that lets players take control of a swordsman who has supernatural powers. They are tasked with fighting a near-endless wave of monsters. The Japanese company said that it was hoping that players are looking forward to hacking and slashing through hordes of evil creatures.

On the other hand, Okami is a video game series that focuses more on art instead of combat. Players take control of Amaterasu, the Shinto sun goddess. She has taken on the form of a white wolf and has to fight her way through Japan.

She is in search of Celestial Brush powers that can help players progress further into the game. Okami is a colorful and stunning gaming experience that is filled with interesting Japanese mythology, according to Digital Trends.
