There are a lot of different resources that players can gather and use in Enshrouded, including one of the most basic to survival, water.

Water is actually not a required resource in the game but it is still very useful to have due to its stamina benefits. It can sometimes be difficult to find this particular resource in Enshrouded, especially if you do not know where to look.

This guide shows some of the methods that you can use to get some water in Enshrouded fast without too much complexity. Try to figure out which of these ways will be most efficient for you depending on what you have access to.

How To Get Water

Enshrouded strays away from other survival games as it does not let players gather water from natural sources such as ponds or rivers. You will instead have to be good at managing your supply until you get some more water, according to Dot Esports.

You have two main options if you want to get water in the game; looting or scooping from wells. There are a variety of places you can loot water from, including crates, sacks, and tables. The main drawback to this is that you are not guaranteed to get this resource every time.

The more reliable method of getting water is taking advantage of wells, which can be found around Embervale. You can also craft your own wells, which lets you have a continuous water supply in your own base.

Another good place to look for wells is Longkeep, which is located right around the place where you start. This area is also a good option as the flat grassland is usually where beginners build their first base in the game, Game Rant said.

Every time you scoop from a well, you get five units of water and you need to wait a certain amount of time before you can get more from the same well. A lot of wells are located in the center of each town, so keep your eyes peeled.

Building a Well

If you want to build your own well in Enshrouded, you need to plan well and prepare the necessary materials. The blueprint for a well is acquired after you rescue the Mason and get Masonry Tools.

You first need to build a standard Water Well, which requires 20 pieces of Linen, 100 pieces of Stone, and one Wooden Bucket. A more efficient well is an Improved Water Well, which refills faster and stores more water.

This particular structure needs 30 pieces of Linen, 100 pieces of Sandstone, one Wooden Bucket, and one Iron Bar. A useful tip for this is scooping water and then picking up and placing the well back down to reset its charges, according to Sportskeeda.
