There are a variety of different resources available in Manor Lords that players need to manage in order to maintain their region and grow their society.

One of the most crucial resources in the game is food as it is needed to feed your people and keep your hardworking peasants satisfied. Manor Lords features a variety of ways to get food, including Berries and Vegetables.

Keeping a steady supply of food lets you worry less that your people will starve and become less efficient with their work. It also minimizes the chances of some of them dying due to starvation.

This guide provides some methods that players can use to stock up on food in Manor Lords to keep citizens happy and content. Look through the ways listed here for which one would be most beneficial or accessible for you.

Apples

One of the simplest ways to get food in Manor Lords is by harvesting Apples. You can start this method when you have the Orchardry Developmental Point upgrade. The fastest way to get this is to build five Burgage Plots and reach the Small Village Settlement Level, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.

You then just need to buy an Apple Orchard Extension in one of your Burgage Plots and you can start farming Apples.

The thing to note about this method is that planting Apple Orchards costs 50 Regional Wealth. It takes three years for each orchard to bear up to two Apples every September. But by the fourth year, each orchard will bear up to fix Apples.

Bread

Another basic food source in Manor Lords is bread which can feed an entire populace relatively easily. The only drawback to this method is that it is rather complicated to produce and requires you to have experience in farming.

The first thing you need to do is build a Field and Farmhouse on land that has either high Emmer or Rye fertility. You should keep an eye out for green areas when placing down your Fields.

When it is set up, click on the Field and choose Wheat as the crop to plant. It is recommended to use this option at the start of the game because it is accessible much earlier. You should also set the Threshing Priority to High at the Farmhouse for the best and fastest result.

Meat

If you are not that much into farming, then Meat is a solid choice to keep your food supply topped up in Manor Lords. This comes from areas that are filled with wild animals, which is denoted by a paw icon on the map, Game Spot said.

You can collect meat by building a Hunting Camp, which is relatively cheap and costs you absolutely nothing at all. The thing you have to remember for this method is to avoid placing buildings or other structures near wildlife sanctuaries because it will cause the animal population to drop.

Last Resort

If you are in dire need of food and do not have enough time to grow or gather your own, then you should make use of Trade Routes. This method is arguably useful if you have a lot of Regional Wealth saved up.

You can set trade routes for a variety of resources, such as bread, grain, meat, and many others. The game also lets you set the options to "import" only so that you do not sell any of the resources you need, according to Games Radar.
