Developer MachineGames said that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is its biggest and longest game as it features four hours of cutscenes.
The title is a major first-person action-puzzler that is set to arrive next month for Xbox and PC users. The developers talked about how long Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is during an interview that was posted on Nov. 25, 2024.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
MachineGames did not provide an exact time of how long it takes to beat the game but it did give a rough estimation. Creative director Axel Torvenuis said that the upcoming title is the studio's "biggest and longest game" ever.
The developer's previous "biggest" titles include Wolfenstein: The New Order and its sequel Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus. Both of these games were considered to be big titles that were somewhat similar to Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.

Both of the Wolfenstein titles took roughly 13 to 15 hours to complete. This is assuming that players did some of the side content and did not speedrun to the end, according to Kotaku.
All of these factors together make it safe to assume that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will take at least 16 hours to complete. What makes the game even bigger is that it has maps that players can revisit to look for secrets that they missed the first time.
Four Hours of Cutscenes
The reveal that the game features at least four hours of cutscenes suggests that Indiana Jones and the Great Circle could be a more than 20-hour game. This would be much more likely for people who do not rush to the end and try to 100% it.
In comparison, watching all five of the Indiana Jones movies will take you about 10 hours to finish. Some fans are taking this to mean that the game could make it feel like all of the films have been combined together for an authentic experience, Yahoo said.
The cutscenes in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle also take as much time as watching 1.72 Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade movies. This suggests that fans who are looking to spend quite a bit of time in the game will not be disappointed with its overall length.
Players who are interested in learning more details about the upcoming title should go and look at the recent interview with the developer. They detailed the mechanic that lets Indiana Jones avoid permanent death if he successfully retrieves his hat, according to PCGamer.
