Developer MAGES announced remasters for Ever 17: The Out of Infinity and Never 7: The End of Infinity for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and Switch.

The two science-fiction suspense visual novels are both scheduled to be released on Mar. 6, 2025, in Asia and Japan. The PC version of the games is set to be published by Spike Chunsoft. There is also an "Ever 17 / Never 7 Double Pack" that will be available on the Switch.

Remastered Ever 17 and Never 7

This package will have both titles in one cartridge and will support English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese language options. The standard edition is priced at roughly $48.50 and the limited edition will cost roughly $63.

The limited edition of the games pack will also include the "Ever 17 / Never 7 Sound Collection" DVD-ROM. This has 31 songs from Every 17: The Out of Infinity and 24 songs from Never 7: The End of Infinity. You can then extract them as MP3 and FLAC files, according to Gematsu.

Ever 17: The Out of Infinity is the second original entry in the acclaimed Infinity series that was first released by KID in 2002. MAGES released a "remake version" of the game for Xbox 360 in 2011 that featured fully 3D characters, new scenarios, and improved visuals.

The new remastered version retains the original 2D character expressions from the original but rebuilds the outfits and opening movie from the remake in 2D. It also incorporates the new scenario elements that were introduced in the remake.

Reaching a Wider Audience

The original title featured several individuals who were unfortunately trapped in the underwater theme LeMU following an incident. They have limited oxygen and must work together in order to survive as rescue seems like it is not coming anytime soon, Noisy Pixel said.

The game's narrative was told from the perspectives of the two protagonists, Takeshi Kuranari and a boy who was an amnesiac and only known as "The Kid." As players progress, the mystery surrounding LeMU, the nature of reality, and the true identities of the characters are revealed.

On the other hand, Never 7: The End of Infinity stars protagonist Makoto Ishihara who had the worst possible wake-up on the morning of Apr. 1, 2019. He had a dream where a girl died a tragic death in front of him.

He is attending a seminar training camp that later transitions into a tragedy as the morning of the seventh day would never come. Players will dive into a sci-fi suspense romance adventure where different feelings are intertwined, according to Nintendo Everything.
