Developer Iron Gate AB's Valheim is a survival sandbox title that features a ton of enemies that will challenge players' abilities in combat.
One of these is The Emerald Flame boss Fader, who is the top dog of the Ashlands region in the game. This particular enemy is a gigantic undead dragon that emanates an eerie green glow throughout its body.
It has a variety of attacks, including slamming and swiping its claws as well as dangerous firebreath strikes. Players who are looking to take down this particular boss in Valheim should come well-prepared to ensure the highest chances of success.

Finding the Boss
In order to encounter Fader, you first have to read a Vegvisir that contains information regarding where he is located. This is the same process that is done with other bosses in Valheim.
The Vegvisir is hidden inside a dungeon and is visually a small gray rock that has red-glowing runic inscriptions, according to IGN.
After you get this item, you need to interact with it and you will find Fader's location now indicated on your map. The boss is found inside the central tower of the Charred Fortress dungeons.
This area is immediately recognizable as it has giant square buildings that have green smoke spewing from the top. You need a Battering Ram in order to break through the thick walls of the structure.
How To Summon Fader
To summon this particular boss, you will need to craft three Bell Fragments at a Black Forge and then travel to The Emerald Flame arena. Take the bells and place them on the towers that surround the central altar. Interact with the altar itself to summon Fader, Tech Raptor said.

Preparing for the Boss Fight
Fader has no outstanding weaknesses to any kind of attack but is quite resistant to Piercing Damage. This means that any arrows you use in the fight will be half as effective as normal. If you want to get in close, it is recommended to bring a slashing or blunt weapon.
It is highly recommended that you clear the area of any enemies before summoning Fader so that all of your focus is on him. You should get as many fire resistance and healing potions as you can to protect yourself and heal from damage.
Fighting Fader
The fight itself is challenging as the boss is very mobile despite its massive size. It also has access to powerful attacks that you should always try to avoid. In close range, there are three attacks you should look out for.
These are a spinning attack, a paw swipe, and a bite attack. If you can't avoid these, you should at least try to block or parry them to mitigate the damage you take. Even at range, Fader is a threat because it can summon meteors, spikes that leave green flames, use a firebreath attack, and summon Charred Warriors and Charred Marksmen.
Other Tips
If you choose to fight Fader at a distance, using magic is a relatively good strategy. If you invest in magic, you can summon allies of your own to distract the minions that the boss summons. This removes the amount of aggro that your character takes throughout the fight.
The minions that you can summon include Skelettes, Dead Raisers, and Trolls. These let you fight in groups and make the boss a little bit easier to handle, according to Screen Rant.
