Steam Next Fest is here and brings with it opportunities for players to check out a wide variety of games, including a new co-op farming simulator Luma Island.

The game is being brought by developer Feel Free Games and the new demo has already gotten players addicted. One of the key things that you will notice about Luma Island is how it takes inspiration from a lot of popular games, such as Minecraft and Stardew Valley.

Luma Island Demo Out Now

This can be seen in Luma Island's environment which features many beautiful flora and fauna. The game has such a comforting vibe that it makes you feel like a child again playing with real-world toys instead of a video game.

Luma Island carefully combines Stardew Valley feels with magical creatures that make it feel more like an RPG than a farming simulator. The game also offers players a choice between seven professions that they can specialize in, according to Games Radar.

The game gives players a lot of stuff to do that it never seems to end. While this can be somewhat overwhelming, it is also surprising to see a simple demo for a game that is not yet even out.

There is crafting and farming, which are the basics of nearly any life simulator. Luma Island also lets you fish and go on treasure hunts if you're feeling a bit bored. The demo itself had enough content to keep players entertained for several hours.

The demo for Luma Island comes ahead of the game's official Nov. 20, 2024, launch. It lets players explore a strange island and build the home of their dreams. Each of the professions can also be mastered to showcase your dedication and expertise, Games Press said.

A Cozy Farming Simulator

Luma Island also has a co-op system where up to four players can band together online to progress through different jobs. They can also work together to complete various quests to obtain rewards.

Feel Free Games said that fans who are eager to learn more about the game ahead of its official launch can wishlist it on Steam. They also urged players to follow the game on social media and Discord to keep up with the latest news.

The professions in Luma Island include things like farmer and blacksmith. It also lets players choose not-so-usual styles, such as a brewer or a jeweler. The developers said that regardless of your chosen profession, the game has a deep progression system you can enjoy, according to Gematsu.
