Developer Pounce Light is celebrating Tiny Glade reaching more than 500,000 players by releasing a new patch that introduces a lot of quality-of-life updates.

The game has been making waves across the video game industry since it was released three weeks ago. The cozy city builder hit a significant milestone last week that the developers were quick to share with the community.

Tiny Glade Patch

The fact that Tiny Glade has gotten more than half a million players is impressive as it is a title that was made by only two people. But this is not really that surprising as before the official release, the game had more than 800,000 wishlists.

Pounce Light posted on X, saying that the player count was absolutely wild. They also expressed their gratitude to fans of the game. The developer added that seeing players' creations just gave them pure joy, according to PCGamer.

SteamDB numbers showed that Tiny Glade had a peak concurrent player count of 10,692 that was recorded on launch day. Since then, it has seen a consistent player count of roughly 1,000 to 1,500. While this marked a significant downtrend, it was still something that the developers are proud of.

The latest update for the cozy city builder implements a lot of fixes, including remembering players' last color or style edit. This is a simple but significant addition that many people consider a necessary update.

This builds on top of players having access to easy-to-use tools that they can use to build almost anything they can think of. The developers describe the different landscapes that you can craft as dioramas, the Game Industry said.

Another useful update to Tiny Glade is that the aesthetics you make using the color or style edit are saved even if you choose to close the game. This means that you can continue where you left off when you boot it back up.

Pounce Light also added the option to remove merlons and railings. This completely removes the need for players to put two blocks together to remove them themselves. When you merge fences, it will inherit the color of the fence that you are merging with.

One key feature that Tiny Glade has that makes it somewhat unique from other games in the genre is that it is in 3D. This lets players move their camera around seamlessly to view different angles of their creation at will, according to Rock Paper Shotgun.
