Petit Island is an upcoming narrative exploration game that will officially launch on modern-generation consoles and PC on Nov. 14, 2024.
Publisher SOEDESCO and developer Xelo Games announced the update for their game. The official description reveals a little bit more about Petit Island and what players can expect before they dive into its world.
Petit Island Release Date
The game features a man of stories and experiences who spent his youthful days exploring various regions and enjoying adventures. He decided to leave his adventuring days behind and now only tells amazing stories to his grandchild, Lily.
As the man has aged, his memories have started to fade and you, controlling Lily, will have to go on your own adventure. You will relive the memories that your grandpaw left in his journal. The game tasks you with helping your family remember his past and discovering your adventuring spirit, according to Gematsu.

The game's key features include letting you explore Petit Island which is filled with hidden treasures and wild creatures. In Petit Island, Lily has the ability to capture nostalgic spots in the area using your camera.
You can also make new friends and meet with local tourists to find out more about the island's quirky and interesting characters. When you befriend characters, you can gain their trust and they will later help you if you need assistance.
Petit Island also features a deep customization system that lets you change your character's appearance however you wish. There are a lot of options for you to choose from to make your dream avatar, Nintendo Everything said.
A Heartwarming Narrative Adventure
The studios also shared a new trailer for Petit Island that showcases some gameplay footage. The video gives a closer look at the challenges that you will have to face as you help Lily explore the island.
The game was originally announced in June earlier this year and it will be available in digital form only when it launches. Petit Island will get physical editions for consoles at a later date that will be revealed by the studios.
You can now also pre-order your very own copy of Petit Island through various retailers such as Amazon US and Amazon UK. Petit Island features a heartwarming open-world photo exploration experience for players to enjoy, according to Games Press.
The Steam page for Petit Island offers various details about the upcoming game ahead of its official release date. However, players cannot yet see exactly how much it will cost to purchase.
