Here we are again with yet another #SteamSpotlight feature, and this time, we're shining the spotlight on an adventure game that's all about snacks.

But before you think these snacks come in the form of chips, chocolates, or candies, that's not exactly the case. In fact, these snacks are actually half-bug, half-snack. Yes, you read that right.

Released on April 28, 2022, Bugsnax is a comedy adventure game developed and published by Young Horses. The game is set in a fictional location called Snaktooth Island, where your character heads to upon the invitation of an explorer named Elizabert Megafig.

However, upon your arrival, you find out that Elizabert is nowhere in sight and all her followers are very hungry and all over the place. Your goal is to figure out what happened to your friend while addressing the hunger issue using Bugsnax.

What are Bugsnax?

In the game, Bugsnax are legendary half-bug, half-snack creatures. There are 100 different species of Bugsnax, and your goal is to discover and capture all of them. You then have to feed your new friends with the Bugsnax.

Steam Reviews for 'Bugsnax'

Bugsnax has more than 5,000 user reviews on Steam as of press time. These reviews have been generally categorized as "Overwhelmingly Positive."

"This was one of those games that made me sad once it was over," a Steam user named Stranger said in a review. "I loved the characters, the story, the gameplay, and exploring the different areas."

"Truly a fun game, would recommend if you like collectathons," user sleepyselkie said in a separate review. "The cartoonish style of the game is adorable and lulls you into a sense of security while there are unnerving events happening all around you."
